When buying an Acura in New York, you may want to consider a pre-owned Acura, which as you know is really just a fancy way to say "used."  However, it's not like buying just any used car... this is a fully factory-reconditioned vehicle with an extensive warranty.  The best part is, you can save thousands of dollars and still be driving the car of your dreams.

When you buy an Acura-certified pre-owned vehicle, you get a 12 month/12,000 mile certified limited warranty on your vehicle.  The warranty on the powertrain is even better: 7 years and 100,000 miles.  Acura technicians will also have gone through a thorough 150-point vehicle inspection and they will provide you with a Vehicle History Report Review.

Not only that, but during your 12 month/12,000 mile warranty period, you also get 24-hour roadside assistance, Acura Concierge service, computerized trip routing/map service, and emergency vehicle lockout service.  Now, I'm not sure why anyone would want to be locked out of their vehicle in an emergency, but it's there if you need it (kidding, of course!).

This kind of program, which virtually replaces your need to join AAA, is similar to one that Lexus New York has.  Is it because they really want to take care of you, or because they are so confident in their cars that they know they won't have to?  Either way, it's a great service.

Let's say you don't want to buy a used -- uh, er -- a "pre-owned" vehicle.  You want it brand, spanking new.  You should then look at new Acuras in New York.  The new ones come with the same roadside assistance thing during the warranty period, but that period is longer -- 4 years / 50,000 miles.
